Hearing Ueck's voice over the radio was the first sign of spring for me every year. Was lucky enough to be able to listen to him call Brewers baseball for over 30 years of my life. It's a tough day for sure

In many sports movies, game announcers are awkward, and serve as generic deliverers of exposition. One of the reasons Uecker's performance in Major League is SO good is that you learn everything you need to know about opposing players, but his delivery is no different than how he calls real games...
