Every men’s curling team in NFLD right now…
The St John’s slam got me thinking about things I don’t like about “traditional” #curling. One is the library atmosphere. During our funspiels, we blast music the entire game like at a lacrosse game. I love it and wish we did that during league play esp in late draw.

There’s a reason why all my favourite curling teams are International who stick together. I have favourate Canadian players but don’t get too attached to a team in this day and age… #curling

There’s a reason why all my favourite curling teams are International who stick together. I have favourate Canadian players but don’t get too attached to a team in this day and age… #curling

My hot take… if pro curling is to survive, the WWE like atmosphere @grandslamofcurling.bsky.social is doing is the future. We need to attract new fans. Sorry old school curlers.

At WEM earlier today. I’d say 50% were shoppers, the other 50% Pokemon Go players for the Go Wild event. Popularity has not waned despite what some say.

Going Argos. Whenever they make it to the dance in recent history, they win no matter what the odds. Last Grey Cup loss was against Edmonton in ‘87 I believe. 7-0 since (and 7-0 vs Bombers). They find a way.
