Public housing, 18th District, Wien, this afternoon. One of the many many People’s Palaces apartment complexes built during the city’s Red Vienna phase in the 1920-30s. Sunday mood.
Villa Rezek, 19th District, Vienna Today. It was built by Modernist architect Hans Glas in 1933 for a doctor Rezek and his family. Glas was Jewish and fled the Nazis five years after completing the house. As did the Rezeks, who were also Jewish—they only lived in this beautiful home for five years.
