I spent several days trying to set up a simple Jupyter notebook in VS Code. Whatever I did, the kernel could not find the modules in the venv. Also, it seemed to run a different version of Python in venv/bin/python (3.12) I had (3.10). Removed VSCode (Flatpak) and reinstalled as apt package. Success
