This is a big moment to protect people and the planet from #PlasticPollution.

It’s #WorldEnvironmentDay, & in just two months negotiators will gather in Geneva to resume #PlasticsTreaty talks.

Plastic pollution contaminates the water we drink, the food we eat & the air we breathe.

It was great to come together with fellow think tank leaders from around the world for discussions in Berlin at the Global Solutions Summit.
Against the backdrop of rapidly shifting geopolitics and challenges to multilateralism, cooperation between civil society organisations is more important than ever.

At #GSS2025, experts including IISD’s @patriciafuller.bsky.social explored how collaboration is 🔑 to advancing collective action.

I was honoured to meet Premier Wab Kinew and Minister Moyes this afternoon, in the company of our Board member Peter Tielmann. Manitoba is a steadfast supporter of @iisd.org and we value our relationship with the province highly.

Starting tomorrow, join @patriciafuller.bsky.social at the #T7Summit for a panel discussing G7 energy security priorities & their climate connections.

📣 Canada has released a new emissions reduction target of 45-50% by 2035.

This is a critical tool in planning for #NetZero, but ambition falls short & places Canada behind leading countries like the UK (81% emissions reductions by 2035) & Brazil (59-67%).
