That too. And cheaper than the gym.

Linen sheets on my bed this minute.

Indeed. Using several litres of petrol to visit a labyrinthine mall to buy one litre of milk is mad. Bike riders rule. It's a proper way to get around and not just a sport.

Read Tony Corsentino's Substack. You will see.

No shame ever in looking after your safety and not scaring yourself. Cycling is.not supposed to be dicing with death.

Is there a dedicated bike path, e.g. Sydney Harbour Bridge has a fully fenced bike path separated from traffic by a rail corridor. BTW sounds like a beautiful ride.

Wow, where are you?

Helped a new neighbour buy a recycled bike then rode with her to markets, a swim in Sydney Harbour and then home across Sydney Harbour Bridge.

I also immediately thought of Charlie Chaplin's "double cross" insignia in The Great Dictator.

Grrr! When approaching pedestrians, especially from behind, I call out: "Excuse me, sorry, thank you." By the time I've said all that I'm almost past them. People respond better than 2a bell which some find peremptory. Sydneysiders tend 2B hostile 2🚵‍♀️ but this works. Howling brake gets attention.

"However, adopted children and adolescents are at heightened risk for mental health issues due to early life stressors, such as prenatal substance exposure, abuse, and neglect, which can impact brain development related to socioemotional functioning."

Overall very well made points. It does sidestep the inherent damage to adoptees, especially newborns, of separation trauma. For example, trauma is attributed to prenatal substance abuse amongst other "unfit mother" scenarios beloved of adoption agents: quoted text following.

Me too. I'm only good for vacuous chatter. Even if I were bound and gagged with my right arm wired up to a cattle prod I doubt I would write.

Hugs from here. It must be difficult dealing with the dawning realisations that come from this travesty and maintain a relationship with them. More power to you.

Having AM in the delivery room is ghoulish.

Not only adoptees but mothers are prevented from obtaining the original birth certificate. Nothing to show but the stretch marks.

Thank you. Good to know. I hope people born before that understand that it was not always the case. Does the father have to notarised or make a declaration about that?

I know. Also, were you informed that his name can be added if he signs a statutory declaration or equivalent? Of course not. This would give him rights that adoption agents want to thwart.
