The risks: civilian casualties, escalation into war, global aviation disruption, and U.S. exposure to ICC/ICJ cases.

Bottom line: Declaring airspace “closed” is unlawful theater. Acting on it would mean aggression, war crimes, and diplomatic isolation.

- UN Charter Art. 2(4): prohibits force against another state.- Civil aviation law: protects commercial flights; shooting them down = terrorism/war crimes.
- Geneva Conventions: forbid targeting civilians; deaths would be prosecutable as war crimes.

Trump’s claim that Venezuelan airspace is “closed” has no legal basis. Under the Chicago Convention (1944), only Venezuela controls its skies. If Trump ordered attacks on planes or Venezuelan territory, he would break international law:

Not surprising. Prices are sky-high, with everyday meals and hotels piling on hidden “resort fees.” Borders feel heavier than ever, with stricter checks and long visa waits. Safety concerns linger, from shootings to protests in major cities.
