I haven’t posted my art on any socials for years. It makes me anxious and sweaty. But I’m excited about this Arthur C Clarke piece and thought I’d test the waters here on 🦋. These are from my sketchbook. I have a series I’ve been working on for years of my favorite writers and their worlds.

At the top, two sketches of the writer Arthur C Clarke. One is when he was in his 50s or so, high contrast with thick glasses and a hand on his cheek. The other is him as an older man in a more profile view. Below the portraits is a detailed pencil drawing of Jupiter with the deep black rectangle of the monolith TMA-2 (aka Big Brother, or the Enigma) yawning like a portal over the face of the planet. Beside this drawing is a quote from 2010: Odyssey Two.
