On one of our Army training exercises, a buck pawing the ground and snorting at us woke us up at Ft McCoy once time. My buddy thought it was going to charge us. It didn't. I've been around elk out west a lot and wouldn't want to piss one of them off. Moose ether. Those were everywhere in Alaska.

I walked 3.5 miles just now. (Only one with the pup. I don't want her to freeze.) Didn't even get any awesome snot rocket icicles on my beard. Disappointing. Not much wind helps and it's sunny.
