In all, not terrible. If they significantly smoothed the South Keys train-to-bus transfer, including both infrastructure and signage, then I’d find this a reasonable way to get downtown. But as is I wouldn’t recommend it for most people.

This is it… I can just imagine someone who doesn’t know Ottawa thinking “Train to city? Of course I’ll take that and get downtown!” Along the way it feels like they didn’t really expect anyone to attempt it.

Pretty quick to get to Hurdman, and from there it’s easy to get to Rideau, so I’d say that basically counts.

And you have to go down stairs, walk across, then up stairs to get to the bus. Elevator out of order, making for a sub-optimal suitcase dragging experience.

And then a 20 minute wait for a bus to Hurdman.

Unless I’m missing something, it’s actually just a train to South Keys?
