Someone finally told Trump how his ICE capades have been hurting farmers in Wisconsin... plus big agri-business employment in meatpacking, packaging, trucking, milking, harvesting,...

Will he actually return to the "criminals only" deportations he promised in the campaign?

Join us this evening—in person or on the radio. Our Supreme Court election panel discussion and watch party will also be on @civicmedia.us news-talk stations and the app from 5-7pm, prior to tonight's candidate debate.

I'm not sure that paying the local Republican Party $40 for a dinner ticket (and TWO gun raffles) should be the only way constituents can "interact directly with our elected officials... to make your voice heard," but I did over 100 public office hours and forums as a legislator so what do I know?

What a year it's already been this week.

GOP co-chairs of the once broadly respected Legislative Audit Cmte promise politicized investigations in time for elections near (2025-DPI) and far (2026-Gov). Once upon a time, legislators would tell their own parties to do their own investigations, not charge taxpayers by abusing this cmte.

Again, for The Times: WTAF?

Can our press first report on WHETHER there is savings… or if burning down part of the house so that you don’t have to pay to fix a hole in the roof will cost more money in the long run?

APPEARED to blame???

Is there no level of embarrassment that would prevent someone at THE NEW
YORK TIMES from typing that?
February 20, 2025 at 10:59 AM
Yep, I’m still on this kick to send a message: The mockery will continue until the ridiculousness is rescinded.

They were never going to put country first… or prices. Never.

77 million Americans were fooled into or foolishly chose a coup.

An unelected South African racist billionaire and an American traitor are accusing Gundersen Lutheran and Lutheran Social Services of money laundering and cutting already-approved funding for the La Crosse area. All this cutting is going to fund a billionaires’ tax cut. Tried to warn you.

I swear the New York Times used to be good at newspapering.

Without evidence the crash resulted from a demonstrably unqualified woman or minority air traffic controller, you wouldn't imply anything like that unless you were seeking ways to publicly whitewash your racist and misogynistic views. There is no other way to explain this kind of talk.

I'm sorry, but the hell is this? And coming just a day or two after that line about how Trump "asserted a muscular vision of presidential power." (Because apparently "fascism" is too triggering.) Get it together, Times.

This is actually at the top of the scale for taking his job seriously today. I'm not saying he earned his paycheck today, but it's nice to see someone over there has found a way to focus.

There are so many ways to summarize what the Trump inauguration stands for... so I'm going to pick one that might otherwise be quickly forgotten. It sums up the grift and how it's not restricted to Trump, his family, or the broligarchy up on stage. So-called pastors can get in on it too.
January 20, 2025 at 10:03 PM
Damn. But also, what a helluva ride.
Get up, get up, get out of here, Ueck... and send our team some celestial luck while you're up there.

The current “remarkable” economy looks like “a rough list of Trump’s campaign promises”???? WTAF?

You mean it’s a list of Biden-Harris accomplishments, but God forbid you actually write fact-based stories about the economy prior to Election Day. Unreal.

This, dear media, is how to write a headline when someone is in a position to potentially wield tremendous power over the victims of their previous crimes. (Medicare, taxpayers, judicial appointments)
