Took my Rogal Dorn out for a spin. Despite the threat of "new model syndrome" it somehow managed to last until the 4th round when The Lion took a distinct dislike to it. I forgot just how much I enjoy playing Guard. Can't wait for the next game. #WarhammerCommunity

I finally have a Rogal Dorn commander for my Brood Brothers army. I'm really looking forward to trying it out on the tabletop. Any takers on how long it'll last before "new model syndrome" inevitably kicks in?

After a bit of a detour, it feels good to be back painting my #Tyranids. I love this army, not least because the models are so quick and easy to paint using Contrast. And finally, I get some monstrous terrain to sprinkle into the games I play.

I needed to clear my mind & cleanse the hobby palate. So I dusted off these old minis & gave them a new lick of paint. Yep, I've had Dawn of War on my mind 😁. I used the minis to experiment with oil washes too. A fun little change & a very useful learning experience too. #WarhammerCommunity

I picked up these reinforcements last week. My airbrush honestly makes me feel like I'm playing this hobby on cheat mode sometimes. It's just so damn fast. My #BroodBrothers are getting closer to 2000 points. #WarhammerCommunity #AstraMilitarum

Some close up pics of my Serrine 148th Regiment. I really enjoyed kitbashing & painting these brood brothers. As with all horde armies, I went for a simple & fast paint scheme but with emphasis on making the GSC facial features visible on the tabletop from a couple of feet away. #WarhammerCommunity

My newest army for #WH40K built with the Questor Forgepact detachment in mind. I've opted for the House Taranis colour scheme. The army is very much a work in progress (lots of Admech to build & paint) but I'm really looking forward to trying it on the tabletop when ready. #WarhammerCommunity

I finally have enough big bugs for a Crusher Stampede. Looking forward to trying them out on the tabletop. Sure, there's a lot in the meta that can smash monsters, but they look so cool.
I've placed a brave (more likely crazed) Blooded in front of them for scale.

I'm really pleased with my progress so far. My High Elf army is now about 1/3 complete. There's always a tradeoff between satisfaction & sanity. And I had to cut some corners to get this lot painted. But it never really shows when you plop them on the tabletop 😉

Just finished this pair of Eagle Claw Bolt Throwers for my High Elves. I've been trying to figure out how to paint white robes efficiently. Turns out contrast paints are the way to go. They make for great glazes.

I found the dragon frustrating. What an odd design choice. I had to put serious work into making sure I could actually bring it into base-to-base contact with another unit. Anyway, I kitbashed some mages too! 😁
