I mean, the cities with the steepest drops are largely former manufacturing hubs, so the drop in inventory could be taken as a sign of higher interest than of low supply for a city like Buffalo. Either way, clear correlation between drop in supply/bump in price.

Kinda funny that YIMBY exists because blue cities are great places and we want more people to be able to move to them, and now the attention-grabbers are giving the mics people who represent like Shitsburg Utah, which is just tract housing built on an aquifer that'll run out in 5 years.

There is also the divide between the camp who are YIMBYs because they like cities, want to improve them, and want more people to be able to live in them, and the camp that sees Sunbelt greenfield development with a Texas donut and says we need 10x that.
