My headcanon is that Zhaire is in witness protection. There’s no reason a near-lottery guy should lose his career bc of a peanut.

There was a long feature about Embiid last year and the sense I got was that the Sixers had vibe problems forever. Just a lot of guys who didn’t want to be there and Maxey is a guy who does want to be there.

Yeah hard to remember how young Maxey is. I’m a Knicks fan and last year I was waaay more afraid of him compared to Embiid even before the injuries/fatigue. Just has too many ways to kill you.

I agree that max contracts should be more rare but the problem is that offering more money is one of the few ways bad teams can attract stars. Nobody takes a pay cut to become a Sacramento King.

Like ik the wiz haven’t been drawing but they’ve still got national tv money to fall back on. If they’re gonna be a garbage product, those owners should feel the heat.
And ik it’s owners voting to protect owners so it’d never happen but it would work imo.

2025 Trae is like 2015 Hibbert. A style we heralded in the prior decade that has become basically unplayable now. People thinking he’s get a supermax are crazy, although he is a wizard so who knows 😂

I don’t think we talk enough about how vertical video changes people’s perception. You see security camera footage of a crime, it feels so much more real than a staged news report by a pro journalist.
And so people can see so much more crime where none exists. Vibes ≠ Reality.

My conspiracy take on this is that the aprons exist bc they manufacture movement. Nobody wants to face the second apron or repeater tax. league got high off of all the media coverage from the decision/KD sweepstakes/Luka trade and want more.
