The sleeves of the Battle Jacket are DONE!! WOOOOOO 🎉

They look the same as before from the outside - but the pattern now stays firmly in place, rather than just being loosely attached.

Here's a photo of the inside, from when I had just done part of the reinforcement.

Close-up photo of yellow fabric. It is covered in wiggly lines of stitching, because it is the reverse of where I have made patterns with appliqué of macrame cord. The upper half of the image shows what the inside of the robe looks like with the patterns just attached with the initial one line of stitches. The lower half shows what it looks like when I have also stitched along both edges of the macrame cord on the other side. It makes a nice pattern, with lots of little diagonal lines of thread following the sides of the curves.

The ceramic bride & groom wedding cake toppers from season 2, with the bride painted to look like Ed. I've edited the photo of this prop to subdue the colours and add shading texture. Then I drew barnacles covering some areas on each figure.

Even before finding that Rhys is going to be in Star Trek, several of us were thinking that Stede should meet Garak (the very unsuspicious tailor in Deep Space Nine).

And the elaborate costumes that Garak wears would suit Stede so well!

The ends are woven in, and now I'm going to sew along all the lines again (twice more) - to reinforce them, and keep the edges set exactly in place. It's going to be a bit epic 🤦 but also very mindless & relaxing 🥰
