Killed 4 games I bought an Xbox for, I don't care what he thinks.

Basically, the stocks tank, but you'll still own them through pensions, etc. When trump's inevitable departure from the Whitehouse happens, the economy comes back to life

Exactly, they've been at it for years. Some individual contributors are worth following for but the editorial slant is biased and not credible.

If your game's black-friday discount is not as good as the other hobby item I'm looking at, then you're not going to receive the income you expected and they are.

An Xbox day-one gamepass game wins best PlayStation game of 2025? What is even the point of specifying it's a PlayStation game award.

Wikipedia will always receive donations from those of us that appreciate objectivity.

Such as Fortnite/ Rocket league / Apex will reward you with sufficient points to buy future battlepass' if you at least buy the initial one. Finally, I enjoy buying a skin every now and then if I've had enough fun. 53 days in Rocket league over 10 years.

To hit the objectives , if they reward me for my usual scheduled game time (weekends / evenings after work) then that's fine. I also feel like the free tier of a battlepass is a good thing for, it rewards those poorer people for playing. See Helldivers II for the best implementation. Others

View, their intention with a battlepass may be to take up time for a sense of progression but I don't care about a sense of progression. I just spend the time to play and derive the enjoyment on a per round basis. I don't grind for the battlepass with dailys, etc. I won't go out of my way to

Fair enough, you've thought about this in great detail and I respect your opinion. Owing to not being able to write as much as I need to in one go, and not understanding how to get things to follow on as you have, I can't really respond but to say, I agree with your loot box points. However, in my

Be honest, the only thing people don't like are the character models. They could easily make new ones and have interesting skins. It's an FPS, you hardly even see your character. If it is attack and defend mode as it seems to be, it could be fantastic if the mechanics are tight.

If I can log in with friends, on headset, and enjoy a live service game and the battlepass creates compelling content, how does that upset the multiplayer experience? If you get hundreds of hours out of a free game and occasionally buy content, that is a good thing? I like games that evolve

This looks great, there are too many single player purists around. A game set in a semi fantasy setting, with characters and some sort of objective over and above team deathmatch, developed by ex respawn developers. This has the juice. I can't wait to learn more.

Too late for that. That's why Trump is in the whitehouse. Mass propaganda from wealthy people that wanted to become even richer and couldn't bear the thought of AI being regulated. Easy way to stop that, buy the whitehouse, and they did.

Afraid this isn't landing the way you expected. The chancellor is doing her best, there are some legitimately good policies but they should be coming into force much sooner. If you're to offer an alternative, start doing it now. Reform cannot win the next election.

A self evident fact but the only way through is to make good games with excellent narrative, emergent gameplay and great experiences. That's where a lot of us have been feeling let down recently.
October 27, 2025 at 7:34 PM
Are you suggesting a game that is not truly first party is the same as Xbox s flagship first party franchise? I think it's okay to cherrypick when describing the state of play, Sony is cherrypicking. They're also putting the cherry on the cake and eating it too, if you catch my drift.

When they bring the likes of Last of us, Spiderman and God of War, then you can consider it over.
October 24, 2025 at 11:07 PM
No it isn't. The console wars are alive but Xbox has decided to roll over and give up. The only way console wars are over is if Sony starts dropping its games everywhere, and well? Fat chance of that ever happening. Disappointed, there's no reason to have an xbox next gen.

Hopefully Apple, they have great content and if this is their foray into proper gaming, let's go!

So tired of it all. The reasonable Tories were decimated in furtherance of Brexit and we are left with this awful mess. Starmer has not done enough to right these wrongs and he's not offered an alternative. I voted for him. I'm disappointed in his work so far and horrified that Farage looks likely.
