One of these things is not essential, and often the root of the problem. Breaches are possible because of the egregious data-gathering in the name of marketing. The world without marketing would be a digital utopia.

People who don't already know this are unlikely to learn just because of higher volume. They'll only understand after they get hit by a serious attack.

For some, the lessons have to be experienced to be learned.
