Color matched blind hem on two more pairs of pants that I cut down to shorts because they were too tight to wear.

Success ☺️

I’ve got to say I enjoy the prep time with sewing things.

It’s like running an experiment (which as a scientist and engineer I love).

You prep everything out in advance, and then the actual work when you get good at it just takes minutes.

Phenomenal.

Sketched out the Covid talk on a piece of paper.

Going to need to push it, because it is definitely going to need a long-form video and/or multiple smaller videos, plus I will need to prep a lot of hand-drawn figures

without a vaccine what will a lot of you that don’t mask have?

Nothing.

Mask up. N95s 😷

The “tools” are mostly gone or have eroded to not being useful.

I don’t want to see population-level disablement, but that’s what we are heading to.

Those services are lacking, plus who will provide them?

3) low community vaccine uptake. Less that 25% US pop since about 2023.

4) Cumulative population-level immune system damage from repeated Covid infections.

5) Lack of using bivalent vaccines. When the drop in effectiveness was from poor matching, not the fact that it was bivalent.

…this will clearly be leveraged as a “see mRNA vaccine technology doesn’t work”, when in reality it is due to a combination of factors.

1) cowardice of VRBPAC to select emerging variants that will drive next waves.

2) unchecked spread of Covid - every opportunity to recombine, mutate.

November 8, 2025 at 5:10 PM
…their trunk of the tree selection has resulted in large reductions of vaccine effectiveness. With initial variants (high match vaccine) it was in 90s% effectiveness. Each year they pick further and further away variants, so it dropped to 80%, then 60%, most recently (2025) I saw 45% at peak…
November 8, 2025 at 5:07 PM
…Covid vaccine access is going to increasingly become limited in availability to who can receive it and if they can even be received due to sham ACIP committee, VRBPAC will either elect not to pick a variant due to limited data, or will pick a very old one making vaccines have low effectiveness…
November 8, 2025 at 5:05 PM
…hospitalizations for Covid are not tracked (outside of the Medicare mandate) so case based estimation is not there, covid deaths are not accurately counted (excess deaths remain high), there is nowhere to report covid positive at home tests, doctors don’t screen for covid anymore…
November 8, 2025 at 5:02 PM
…Medicaid extensions were removed with mass unenrollment, healthcare premiums are expected to massively shoot up, PAXCESS program ends December 31, Paxlovid is prohibitively expensive and likely wont be covered fully moving forward, RATs are increasingly less sensitive havjng never been updated…
November 8, 2025 at 4:58 PM
…Clean air standards and mandates have been ignored, routine vaccination is under threat, US is out of the WHO, global cooperation around Covid is gone, flex/hybrid work is going away with mass RTO pushes in a seemingly coordinated effort, covid sick leave is gone…

Pin my post I guess.

I don’t like to constantly be the I told you so guy.

But I feel like all of this is so obvious, yet we aren’t connecting the dots on scale.

GISAID on providing data to @Nextstrain.org: "After consulting with our staff and advisors on the feasibility of keeping your global tree up-to-date, there was a clear consensus that continuing to generate, zip and move big files back and forth is not sustainable and a waste of resources."
