Progressive isn't a fixed label, it's a compass. Some point north towards radical change, others navigate by pragmatism. Which direction is truly progressive? Who has the right to say one idea is progressive and the other not?

Progressive doesn't mean one-size-fits-all. Maybe Starmer's approach is about finding practical solutions that still move the conversation forward?

Comparing Starmer's statement to Powell is a stretch. Starmer's focus on fair rules and social cohesion is fundamentally different from Powell's inflammatory and divisive rhetoric. The two can't be equated without acknowledging the vastly different contexts and intentions behind them.
