Jinxx is my favorite pyramid game. I don’t intend on rating every game I post but I had to rate Jinxx 😊 it’s great fun and with equipment that comes in the box you can play a whole host of other pyramid games from Homeworlds to Lava Flows and even some of my own creations.

Do you ever wonder what inspires the design of a game? For Color Wheel, it started with the game board & the inspiration to design a cooperative game. This led to renaming the game board "The Wheel" which is what it is still called to this day! Have you played Color Wheel yet?

At that time, I was feeling inspired to create a cooperative-style game. Since Color Wheel is a much easier game to learn than Petri Dish, and since “The Wheel” is just a cooler sounding name than “Petri Dish Board,” that’s the name that stuck, making it seem like Color Wheel is the headliner game for the board. After being silenced by the zen of Zendo I needed something crunchy to get me going again. Enter Robert Dudley’s Krump. This game hit all the right notes to get the gears turning. Filled with trappy strategy that blends checkers and chess it won’t disappoint

I’m still pretty green at Kory Heath’s Zendo and I’m play testing new rules this week 😬 So I figured I would set up a challenge using an easy rule from the PA Zendo card deck. The silver structure follows the secret rule. Post a structure if you wanna play along 😊

Ice Dice was designed by Andy Looney at his first Burning Man when he realized he needed a simple yet fun game for folks to play with the colorful Looney Pyramids. Decide whether to press your luck or take what you've collected on your turn before you bust! Have you played yet?

One of my very early designs. I always enjoyed the feel of it but it turned out there was a broken strategy. Most of my attempts to fix it would have required computer simulations so I never did anything else with it. But cool to see it still has a fan!

Rotationary by Dave Chalker is a nice light puzzle for a lazy afternoon. The goal, to rotate the pieces to point in the same direction. Each piece affects the the one it points to according to its pip value.

The theme for this week has been dexterity 👍😁👍 and Venusian Bowling by Jason Brannen has been my favorite so far. It’s more akin to darts than anything. A lobbing sort of darts.

After a 10 hour shift I took to this one more than I thought I would 😊 and rolled a 20

Atom Smasher by David Artman is a dexterity game similar to marbles. The goal is to flick the opaque small, in this case green cuz Hulk smash!Hulk destroy!, into a tight group of pyramids to separate them. Freed mids are then collected for scoring. Fun stuff 👍😁👍

Drip, cleverly created by Tyler Tinsley, may be going the way of the dinosaur as it requires a Treehouse tube. All the same this is an enjoyable little game that takes minutes to play. Players fill the tube with pyramids trying not to be the last to drop 💧
