This happened here in southern Minnesota, Brad Finstad’s hometown. Made the front page of the local paper. Today I got an email from Finstad’s office with the subject “I want to hear from you”. It was a one question survey. Apparently there is no limit to the number of times I can respond.

I’m not talking about the junk they have to throw away, but the items they put out on display that never get sold?

It is! We light the candles only a few times each year. This is the 42nd version of this tree.

They even let a farmer park a trailer there after Halloween, where people could drop off their pumpkins to become pig food! The site is well maintained, and they shred & turn the compost piles regularly. Logs and branches become wood chips for mulch.
