*ETA when I say "my weekends" I specifically mean the days off I requested to have, not the other two extra days they're currently not scheduling me for.

I'm just really stressed right now, and I wish that I could figure something out so that I could get past all this and thrive. I've just tried so many things, been to so many interviews only to be denied, I've struggled so hard for so long, so why does it feel like I'm constantly being punished?

Now I'm thinking it's all a fever dream, and I'll have to give up on that idea. And it hurts, because the one place I'd have liked to go, so that I may see my partner, I might not even see by the end of next year either. And it makes me think I'm not good enough for him, even if he says otherwise. 🧵

I'm still going to keep trying to see what I can do, hope for the best, and maybe down the line, I'll get lucky. I just want things to work out for me for once in my life. I wanted to save up to travel next year. My hours I got last year during this time of year would have been BIG for me. 🧵

As someone without a degree (and even if I had one, I'd only be in debt bc I've got friends with degrees and no jobs in their field), jobs are slim to none. I've looked at least twice a week for a new job, hoping something that fits my requirements will pop up. Things look bleak, my friends 🧵

Doing the math out, I won't even have a net of $10K for this year, even after taking extra shifts when I could, which included days I usually need to have off (my weekends are Tuesdays and Wednesdays bc appointments are easier to schedule that way). 🧵

Meanwhile, I've seen new "seasonal" hires. So why am I not getting those hours? Simple, either my boss dislikes me for some unknown reason, or the company is specifically asking her to cut the hours of anyone making over minimum wage. (My 14 cent raise for a of year work is insulting) 🧵

Yeah, I pretty much gave up on TikTok bc the algorithm is so skewed. Sometimes I'll get a couple hundred views, others none at all. My lowest current is 19 views, *views*, my highest is 1977. Idk what the difference is at all.
