i've had similar mental hospital experiences kinda similar in the southwest US aswell

The south is generally terrible for anyone not cis and neurotypical (the worst was Lincoln valley in Evansville, since they treated me like a actual animal while I was a autistic kid with different needs)

especially in the south, I've had so many mixed experiences but a lot lean towards bad than good, especially the amount of times I've lied my way out, along with them asking a 9 year old what meds work best instead of my parents, while I was staying there too
