How the hell do you know what was actually happening? Truly? It was also up to the Israeli people to push back against their authoritarian leader. Placing all the blame solely on Biden for the situation is reductive and ridiculous.

if you want to look back into history with the Iran hostage situation and see how Reagan manipulated that situation to make Carter look weak, I suggest you do so. The exact same thing happened.
February 8, 2025 at 11:02 PM
We are now left in a situation where there is no compromise. There is no negotiating. We no longer have a functioning government that we can even protest against.
February 8, 2025 at 11:00 PM
I will not defend the money that Congress allocated for Israel or that Biden approved it. I would like to point out that Biden was pushing for a cease-fire since last May and Netanyahu would not agree to it. He was banking on Trump being reelected. He was biding his time.

It's a good thing we have a super majority here in Oregon. They can make all the noise they want. It’s because they have no power, and they know it.

we listened to the black women who have carried this country on their backs for hundreds of years fighting this oppression. The genocide of our indigenous populations who asked us to not let their genocide continue. Now we are going 1 million steps backward instead of being able to move forward.
February 8, 2025 at 10:23 PM
We were listening to the marginalized in our communities. Specifically the black women who asked us as white women to stand with them as they have carried this country for hundreds of years, fighting the oppression that we now find ourselves in.
February 8, 2025 at 10:22 PM
If you can’t understand that, that’s a you problem.
February 8, 2025 at 10:20 PM
Those of us who voted for Harris were not voting for genocide. We were voting to keep more suffering from happening to at least have an administration that we could push to end the genocide against Palestinians.
February 8, 2025 at 10:17 PM
By not fighting actively against this regime coming into power, you have enabled more genocide around the world to begin and continue. A third-party vote or not voting at all also makes you complicit.
February 8, 2025 at 10:17 PM
We don't have that here because the Republican party has been trying to destroy all of our social safety net programs since the 1950s. Since they know that's not popular, they have been suppressing the vote for over 70 years. I prefer your country’s style much more, though.

Now he's going to piss off the truckers who are driving I-75 in the Winter. Maybe we will have a revolution after all.
February 5, 2025 at 5:22 AM
I know people who were lost down those rabbit holes. People I’ve known and loved for decades who could talk of nothing but Gaza and genocide Joe and how both parties are the same. They would repost incessantly and not listen to reason. It’s heartbreaking and infuriating to have witnessed.

Slotkin was just sworn in as the new Senator from Michigan. She has 6 years until re-election.
January 25, 2025 at 11:57 PM
Slotkin is way more right leaning than I thought. I know she’s a vet and I’m well aware of my home state’s complex purple political landscape but she has really been playing exceedingly nice with MAGA as the new junior Senator of Michigan. 😔

I am doing the same as a lifelong Lions fan who was born and raised in Michigan. They are a ray of sunshine in this chaotic, sometimes dark world.
January 24, 2025 at 7:07 PM
Agreed. Many are also privileged enough to either not be as impacted by what is happening or have the means to leave the country. One person I know already has, and another was on Facebook the day after the election, telling everyone to make sure their passports are up to date. 😤 Disgusting.
January 24, 2025 at 5:59 PM
This is the group that infuriates me the most. They are generally highly educated, high-information voters who scream at everyone about not caring for the vulnerable minority (Palestinians) while completely disregarding the most vulnerable in our country. Then claim no responsibility for this mess.
January 24, 2025 at 4:36 PM
You mistake me for someone who is happy with or has been happy with the democratic party. I helped Bernie win the primary in MI in 2016, and I abhor the Clintons. And we are all fucked.
January 23, 2025 at 8:08 PM
Yep, and the purity assholes would just yell “genocide enabler” at anyone who tried to get them to think critically about the situation. All of the people I know who protest voted are privileged white people. It's so infuriating.
January 23, 2025 at 3:15 AM
I kept asking them what kind of administration they wanted to protest in. The kind where you get shot or the kind where you can be critical? I've loved a few of these people for decades and I also agree that they can fuck off. They are self-righteous, one-dimensional noncritical, thinking assholes.
