I have read all James Joyce’s book but I did do an audio version of Finnegan’s Wake because of the vernacular.

That was during the Silver Jubilee year. I watched it on TV.

That question showed me that my 2X Great Grandparents had more children . I thought they had one child but they answered 3 children born alive 2 died. Which in turn lead me to find first marriages for both of them. It turns out they had seven children between them and only two survived to adulthood.

Coroner Inquests were often reported in newspapers but I am not sure they would do it for a Mother Baby Home. Still worth a check.

I remember seeing that book but it wasn’t part of my library. One of my first books was written by a gentleman named Steele and it was based on a BBC show about family history. Even had a book on correspondence for family history. How to write/format the best response letter for archives etc.
