Reading magnetic states faster – in far infrared: Team of #HZDR and @tu-dortmund.bsky.social provides proof of feasibility of ultrafast data storage. Instead of electrical pulses, they use #terahertz light pulses, enabling read-out of magnetic structures within picoseconds.
