Of course you are right. Historically Sony offered a broader spectrum of weirder games and not mostly open world games that take themselves too seriously and live service games at various stages of cancellation.

I personally do not care for either Sony or MS. What I wish for is healthy competition that drives features like quick recovery and SSDs as a standard. And less something like Sony refusing to play along when Epic pushed for cross platform multiplayer because Sony thought they didn't need to.

I do not care what happens to the Xbox platform any more in isolation. But there has to be a counter weight to Sony. They have shown to treat customers badly when they feel assured of their dominance. If both companies stop caring then consoles as a concept will suffer.

I specifically asked for this last year in a feedback form. My solution for this up until now was using different browsers for different operation modes. But I don't want to.

Agree on that. It is one of the reasons I tried Godot out after Unity but it wasn't much better. I wrote my own very specific level editor previously but with a very narrow feature set.

We are scared of vibe coding but we should have been scared of vibe reading all along.

You won't need a level editor for your next project? That's the thing I would miss most, if I went for a library instead of an engine the way we understand it now.

Are you leaving Unity because of last year's shenanigans or do technical reasons also come into play?

Stadion. Darum ging es oder nicht?

I played through Mass Effect three times but always made the same decisions apart from the gender I picked for Shepard.

I bought a washing machine on Amazon and Amazon recommends more washing machines to me.

I liked my 3D TV, especially for games :(

Since we are forcing certain religious people play as heroes who look like terrorists in their eyes, I'd like to go even further. Make a Jesus game with a lore accurate middle eastern look where he kills demons listening to Aramaic hip hop and you activate checkpoints by washing people's feet.

You'd have to make everyone blonde and in pyjamas, otherwise there is danger of the prince looking like a Ku Klux Klan member.

To be fair, if the first thing I saw before even starting the game is a controller with 10 buttons, two sticks and a digi cross, I'd be intimidated as well. Tutorials are not enough. We need games that can be played with two buttons (3 max) like in the 80s
