Sure, but now it is used to compare people and reduce careers to 3 numbers. My strong preference would be to have a qualitative google scholar, where only the top X (5, 10, ?) papers can be highlighted by the author. The rest of the papers are in a list but don't contribute to an aggregate number.

This is long overdue and there seems to be no valid reason to host CVPR in North America only. Is it because of funding sources? Either way, time to overhaul the setup, please let me know if you need help with the motion.
