I don't know about other councils, but our small district council seems to attract a lot of eccentric people. Our regional council is mostly stable and sane. I will be very sad if this goes through.

Ugh. I went to the police after a dildo was hand-delivered to my flat. I was sure it was my landlord, but was told to not worry by them and by others. Just a harmless old man etc. Found out later there were peep holes all over the flat and a previous tenant had laid a police complaint.

And meat is a bit cheaper - about $13 kg for 10%fat mince. $17 for free range chicken meat. Sometimes they have rebates.

I think we spend about the same bit have more in the freezer for the apocalypse, and eat much better food. We don't eat out much, so things like the wild salmon are a real treat.

And that doesn't include the out-of-pocket health costs - the deductible you never seem to reach, the co-pays. Those can be thousands and thousands of dollars on top and are impossible to plan for. Like reverse lotto. Save public health in NZ! #nzpol
