I'm waiting for some board to replace their CEO with AI. It'll happen. Better at noticing trends, projecting financials, research, all of it, and it will never offer an employee a horse for a handie.

I love what Trachtenberg has been doing to a great franchise. Renaissance or resuscitation, whatever. It's nice to be excited for what's coming next.

This is like cinematic universe brain rot. Bond fans managed the conceptual leap from an aged Roger Moore to Timothy Dalton. How many remember Bond was married? Was Connery returning for Never Say Never Again explained? No, and none of it mattered.

I'm pretty clear on the Gen X plot, being as I am one, born in the early 70s. Schumer was born in 1950, he's a Boomer. Gen X asked for Baby Boomers to step aside. Instead they stayed forever. The Clintons are boomers, Pelosi is a Boomer, Harris was very late Boomer/very early Gen X.

That really be said with the same verve and energy as "The Aristocrats!"

It's a shame our parties don't have no confidence votes. No reason they couldn't just put that in their party rules if they wanted. Seems fair and would give rank and file pressure on bad leadership. Anybody agree?

Nobody uses the word "quisling" quite so much these days. Pity.

Bernie or bust didn't bring us Trump 2. The people who propped Biden up knowing he wasn't up to it did. Leadership that couldn't stop gleefully defending the IDF did. Kampala Harris's inept campaign did. Neither fish nor fowl nor good red herring, worthless squishy centrists did.

If you honestly think the current leaders of the Democratic Party have shown themselves capable of prevailing in this fight, I'm afraid the cause is already lost. We're seeing the Susan Collins Virus infect these "leaders." Last week's blue wave was largely to spite this leadership.

Schumer has Inspector Clouseau level political skills. He has no vision. He has no spine. When your leader seems to be actively hurting your party, is the exact time to attack them. Because guess what, the Rs won anyway. This is "peace in our time."

Johnson is already in record that it will never come up for a vote. Maybe a good strategy for dems are temporary alliances with vulnerable Rs to execute discharge petitions, by the dozens.

Mamdani showed ways to energize AND expand the base. But Washington Dems would rather protect their true constituents, the big donors and corporate backers. They'd rather be seen as "grown ups" than actually win political fights.

Mamdani won 2/3 of men 18-29 without ever sitting down with Theo fucking Von or Joe Fucking Rogan. He offered a clear vision, he never shit on the trans community and took aim at corporations and the wealthy. One week later Schumer buckles. Why can't the baby boomers just fucking leave us be?

When it became very profitable. All of the journalists that conservatives put up as "the greats" worked in news divisions that not only lost money, but were ran as loss leaders. Networks saw it as fulfilling the "public interest" part of their PICAN obligations under the Communications Act of 1934.

Democrats have kneecapped themselves for a long time. Too timid to fight for real progressive solutions to problems. Offering up milquetoast Third Way hacks as candidates, instead of embracing bold policies. Schumer STILL hasn't said who he voted for. It's not just Republicams with dirty hands.

How hard is this? Say they'll get their votes on that, only after Dems get an up or down vote on extending subsidies. Put em on record.

UBI baby. Corporate profits are at record highs, billionaires are billionairing and we're about to have a Snidely Whiplash-level evil trillionaire. We can find the money. Drill baby drill.

But never, ever calling out racists. That's just beyond the pale. Your morality is a joke and your fucking sanctimony is turned up to 11. You're not a good person. You defend racists and exists. Dive into the deepest pile of shit you can find and wallow, racist lover.

Wow. You sure sit on that high horse, for being an apologist for racists and sexists. Have you ever considered deleting your account? Or better yet, have you considered becoming a silent racist hermit, and leave decent people the fuck alone?

At least DeSantis acknowledges he's a piece of shit. All those votes but you won't set foot here. Cunt.
