Genomics help: From this FastQC report for our low coverage whole genome sequences, what is the polyA adapter that is showing up? Can I trim them out like I did the TruSeq adapters? I've not seen these show up before.

Black floppy wide brim hat. I looks like it is make out of some type of felt. It has a thin band and a small bow at the back. Black dress. It has a black base with black lace overlay. There are black lace cut outs around the arms and waste. It has cap sleeves and the dress hits at mid calf.

One of my colleagues gave me a woman scientist Lego today and a research student previously had a Lego designed to look like me. Y'all, look at this. It's two versions of me!!

We are excited that the Michigan Invasive Species Grant Program is funding our eDNA monitoring work. We will be monitoring for hemlock woolly adelgid (HWA) in high-risk eastern hemlock forests using eDNA collected from our traps (image below) and spider webs.
3D printed eDNA trap. The trap holds 4 microscope slides coated with dilute petroleum jelly. We deploy the traps during the active HWA crawler period. We collect the slides every two weeks, extract the DNA off the slides, and the the samples for the presence of HWA DNA. Image of a spider web that was collected from an HWA infested region in 2024. We extracted the DNA out of the spider web, and then sequenced the DNA. All of the spider webs came back positive for HWA.

Help... I have to make 3 PCoA plots. They each use the same data but are grouped by different factors. First, what do you think of these colors? And 2nd, should the 3 graphs use different colors? Right now they are the same colors but each graphs has different symbols.

I love hemlocks so much. The visual difference of a hemlock stand compared to everything else never fails to impress me.
