My first stories of 2025 followed the La Canada Tournament of Roses Assocation and Burbank Tournament of Roses Association as they constructed their bids for this year's Tournament of Roses.

The Eaton Fire destroyed thousands of homes in Altadena. It spared thousands of others. Now, the those "lucky ones" must go home and sort through the wreckage.

Great reporting by @laist.com on the #LAFires. So much misinformation to combat. Water resource & wildfire management is incredibly complex. We need to come together not point blame. Experts like UCLA’s Greg Pierce highlight limitations not failures of the system.
