Kryptonite is an excellent early Superman story about Clark’s fearing his invulnerability, while struggling to be vulnerable with others. 2015’s Lois & Clark is a great reintroduction to “old universe” Lois, Clark, & son in the “new” DC universe, and it’s cool seeing him try to be a secret Superman.

Love that these 2 are all silver haired & wrinkly, but they still sneak around to do the dirty. They’ll always be comics’ cutest couple.

Here are some really solid mini-series that I think are pretty new reader friendly. Wrote some descriptions in the Alt Texts. Def have more recommendations, if you want them.
Clark is still early in his career as Superman, and is starting to have fears about what being invulnerable actually means for him as a person. At the same time, Lois is investigating a new entrepreneur who may have brought with him something that may give the Man Of Steel something new to worry about. The Lois and Clark of the old DC universe found themselves in the current universe with their baby. Not wanting to interfere with this universe's versions of themselves, they are attempting to live their new lives in secret. However, as new and old threats emerge, it becomes increasingly hard to keep these secrets from their son and the rest of the world. A little girl has gone missing, and when it is revealed that her kidnappers were extraterrestrial in nature, Superman will scour every corner of the galaxy, and go on any adventure necessary to save her. Pack your bags, brace your mind, and look to the sky, because this space road trip doesn't end until that child is brought home. It's 1946 and the Lees have moves from Chinatown to the Metropolis suburbs. Roberta Lee is nervous of the move, even with as charismatic a new friend as young Jimmy Olsen. When bigots in bedsheets attempt to drive them away by any means, who should come to the rescue, but the All-American hero, Superman. Unfortunately, after touching a mysterious green rock that burned him to the touch, Clark starts experiencing visions and new powers that may force him to confront something he's been ignoring his whole life: where he REALLY came from.
