They can have opinions, but they are not entitled to some total absolution of negative consequences based on those opinions and subsequent actions. That's where their (often hypocritical) plea for freedom to say whatever goes to mush. They want no downsides and all upsides, but only for themselves.

When you tolerate the intolerant, you invariably create a society run by the intolerant. When someone breaks the social contract, they forego the niceties and protections of that contract.

Black walnut (bordering on purple) is beautiful but not the easiest to work. I am also partial to ash as it's tight grain, hard but workable and a great substitute for maple. Poplar for painted surface is also nice.

I think people like that are so terrified of vulnerability, they permanently keep themselves angry so they never have to face the fact they're terrified.
