I feel you, but they are TECHNICALLY right and it is in fact very alarming. In Spain the entire National Electricity Grid was cut off and northern Portugal has basically been shut down. Airports are experiencing ongoing power outages affecting their essentials core functionality.

Are you suggesting Portugal and Spain are NOT European countries???
