8 successful orbital launches during two days (12.04-12.05), using 6 different launchers on 8 different launchpads from 5 countries; 237 successful orbital launches so far in 2024, a record already, and the year isn't over yet!

Superb space-related exhibition at Museum of Immersive New Art in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, featuring photos and videos from Soyuz-40 mission; cosmonaut Dumitru Prunariu had a presentation and offered autographs at the end.

Prima treapta este propulsata de 7 motoare BE-4, care folosesc metan și oxigen lichid, iar aceasta este reutilizabilă (poate să fie folosită, conform Blue Origin, de cel mult 25 de ori).

La bord se va afla Blue Ring, o platformă orbitală realizată tot de Blue Origin, ce urmează să fie folosită în viitor pentru alimentarea, manipularea și tractarea sateliților.

Noua rachetă New Glenn a companiei Blue Origin se află pe rampa de lansare SLC-36 a centrului spațial Cape Canaveral din Florida, în așteptarea unui test static, premergător lansării planificate în următoarea perioadă (până la finalul acestui an).

Wait, there's more: a similar behavior was observed after Changzheng-6A launch with Yunhai-3 satellite, on November 11th, 2022: as of today, after two years, there are over 790 objects tracked, spreading from 200 km to 1600 km altitude.

There are still over 680 objects tracked from the second stage (disintegration?) of Changzheng-6A launch from August 6th, 2024; the launch carried Qianfan Jigui 01 satellite to orbit.

Will Landspace’s Zhuque-2 be the first methane fueled rocket to reach orbit, beating SpaceX’s Starship and ULA’s Vulcan? Plenty of times for bets, since the next launch is scheduled for July 12 (the first Zhuque-2 launch failed after issued with its second stage).

Yesterday, on 04 July at 21:17 UTC, Progress MS-22 (docked at Zvezda module) fired its engines for 1130.8 seconds, aligning the International Space Station's orbit for Soyuz MS-23 departure and Soyuz MS-24 arrival. According to Space-Track data, the ISS orbit looks more circular now.
