Maybe a hot take, but I actually prefer losing the giant bezels, even at the cost of a home button version of TouchID. On the 12.9” iPad those bezels were HUGE lmao. The new design is a lot easier to carry around while still keeping the same size screen

If your iPad primarily sits on a desk for art, tbh you might be more annoyed by the new version of TouchID on the latest iPad Air/mini/regular than by FaceID on the iPad Pro. The home button is long gone, and the TouchID sensor is now on the power button instead, which is a more awkward spot imo

As a developer who works with iPads and uses models with both TouchID and FaceID regularly, I get your frustration. There are times where both are more or less convenient than the other, and times where each can be slower or faster than the other. Neither is perfect, you just get used to it lol
