African daisies are flowering. Dimorphotheca are named for the unusual characteristic of having seeds with two very distinct morphologies. This caused me much confusion when I sowed both seeds I harvested the previous year and purchased seed and they didn't look at all alike.

I found this slightly different colour variation of Orbea variegata (Stapelia) to the one I already have. Indigenous South Africa. If you lean in close the flowers do really smell like carrion, hence the local name carrion flower.

We might be taking in a foster tomorrow. I've never done this before and my cats don't like other cats much. But a situation next door to us blew up in a terrible way and he will be put down if I don't . We could use some moral support.

Rey and Tommo as kittens almost 4 years ago. They were feral and their mom stray.
