The American Canyon Community & Parks Foundation is a small non-profit dedicated to creating opportunities where community and nature flourish together. We empower youth through nature with The Outdoor Connection and the Napa River Ecology Center.
We held our first invasive iceplant removal day this past April. It is inspiring to see how well nature bounces back when a harmful plant is removed. We can't wait to get our next group of kids out to pull more iceplant and reseed with native plants. Learn more about our programs at acparks.org

We are deeply grateful for the support of our community. Thanks to the incredible energy of volunteers, sponsors, donors, and friends, our 9th Annual Fundraiser was a huge success! Together, we’ve shown what’s possible when community comes together with purpose.

Today, a community member saw two beautiful coyotes on the wetlands trail (zoomed pic). Here are a few quick tips to keep people and wildlife safe. 1. Never feed wildlife. 2. Keep your dogs on leash. 3. If you feel they are too close, make some noise, clap your hands, etc. 4. Keep your distance.

It's a rainy day in the Bay Area, so we are sharing this reminder of warmer days. The Napa River and American Canyon Wetlands love to show off at sunset.

I know there is no bad weather, just bad clothing. Unfortunately, not every kid can access good rain gear, so we must reschedule our next two Wetlands field days. MMMM.... Maybe there is a grant idea in there.

We had a great time getting ACMS 7th graders out to the American Canyon Wetlands on Monday. Unfortunately, we might have to reschedule the planned trips for tomorrow and Friday. We don't want them wet and miserable in heavy rain and 20 mph winds. That is not the introduction we are going for.

Our Teen WILD volunteers were busy on the Wetlands Edge Trail, teaching the community about King Tides and why they happen. Today was great, and we are so proud of our volunteers.
