Not so fun fact, from 1990 until the ACA, when the OECD definition changed from "public" to "public/compulsory" the US spent a slightly higher proportion of its GDP on public healthcare than the UK.

Beautiful.

I'm always impressed how well my phone renders colours in the night. Only the stars sometimes give it away.

Some charts I made in 2022 that are complimentary to yours. Using OECD data
data.oecd.org/gdp/gross-do...
UK 3rd from bottom GDP growth from 2016, above Mexico and South Africa

data.oecd.org/trade/trade-...
UK, 2nd from bottom in % growth in goods exported Q1-2016-Q2-2023 above Luxembourg

These are similar graphs I made with the 2022 Q3 OECD data.

There was evidence by 2022

Rather jolly Christmas decorations in Hazel Grove this evening.

In the real world, they benefit marine mammals, as they act as artificial reefs and also protect against trawling.

A town local to me has had one in a hundred year flooding events in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and given the forecast, will probably get it worse by the end of the weekend.

Prompted by a tweet by @gidmk.bsky.social about old antivax arguments I dig out this by Arthur Conan Doyle from 1887

And second from bottom in growth of exported goods

More evidence that #Brexit is a disaster. The UK has grown more than South Africa and Mexico since 2016.
October 5, 2023 at 8:42 PM
That's right. They have just started.

For example, UK exports of goods have still grown more than Luxembourg, since 2016 (although no other OECD country).

Maybe they can put us to the actual bottom.

It gets better, check out the whining and victimhood from Robinson after his complaint that GB News was too woke
September 29, 2023 at 11:28 AM
I've looked at the OECD goods exported data, to compare the UK with France, Germany, Italy, and the EU27 and normalised the numbers to Q1 2016
