The larger problem is that once you have multiple clients iterating fast on any features is impossible and you’re competing against products that don’t have this issue.

Hundreds of millions of people use Twitter to get news, talk to friends, meme, etc. Calling these users right-wing is *insane*.

Twitter is a mainstream (if smaller) network, and these right-wing networks built for right-wing users never were.

Industry doesn’t dictate reporters push false or misleading narratives. Industry would greatly prefer that reporters not do this.

But media does what makes money, and dire narratives make people click, get angry, and share.

It’ll be interesting to see if this accelerates AI adoption in the space. Past writers strikes led to things like reality TV to route around these folks. Maybe people don’t need bespoke hand-crafted dialogue.

To be fair, I’d rather have this elderly inquisitive set making rules than Lina Khan, who is much younger and has zero idea how any of this works, but high levels of confidence she knows what to do to make the market function better.
