Sometimes, I do wonder how I'm still taken seriously at work.

Big fan of the sky on tonight's long trek with Apollo. I was asked what I wanted to do on my birthday later this week; 'walk 10 miles, alone, but with the dog' probably wasn't the anticipated answer!

For a long time, Gill has been building up the charity (their funds recently helped to open a new stoma clinic in Kenya), training for her latest fundraising feat, and working, all while supporting her family - including her incredible Dad.

So far, Cromer has had lovely skies, beaches and ice-cream, but not much sleep for the youngest kids (and therefore the rest of us)

Apollo and I made some friends. Well, I did. Apollo was too furious that he was late for tea.

Yesterday, I took Maya on a birthday tour of Goodison & down to our new ground. Just three more games left at the Grand Old Lady. Three more games of coming down those stairs. Three more games of briefly pausing & tapping the bannister where Dad used to turn left, while we turned right 💙

My favourite part of today's match? Hearing this between two of my (female, middle-aged) mates:

'So yeah, you'll need a spanner to get this bit off, and then it's a Philips head for the screws'

If you know, you know.
