We travel and live in our truck camper as we do remote and seasonal jobs in and around National Parks and our other favorite destinations. If you followed us before on IG or FB, thanks for following us here!
If you grew up in a small town, you know there ain't no party like a parking lot party. This Havard Agave is literally having the time of its life. It grows a central stalk and flowers like this once in a lifetime. If you have the time of your life in a parking lot, make it the Chisos Basin.

It's hot in Big Bend and the tourists are dwindling, but it's still the busy season for some.

A dinner break view. I have to remind myself sometimes that people pay thousands of dollars for views like this. I get paid to be here. Not much though. 😅

A rare occurence in Big Bend. On rainy, overcast days the clouds cling to the Chisos Mountains. Gloomy days offer a welcomed reprieve from the otherwise hot and arid desert.

...and a few more because apparently I can only post 4 photos at a time.

A few shots from recent travels around Big Bend. It wasn't part of the plan a few months ago, but feeling grateful to be here now.

New substack up! We took a weekend trip along River Road in Big Bend. An awesome way to see a beautiful place!

The future is often hazy, and clarity for planning ahead is especially hard to find right now. If only our plans could be as solid as the Chisos Mountains. At least we know when the dust settles, the mountains will still be there.

Back to the Bend
Our plans for the rest of the winter, and this coming summer, were abruptly disrupted over a month ago.

New bluesky account, who 'dis?

We left Quartzsite today and we're on our way to Big Bend for a couple months. Tonight we're staying at Indian Bread Rocks in southern AZ. It's a great place to camp near Chiricahua National Monument. One of our favorite spots. Just us, the rocks, and the cows.
