I am a tourism & travel trade pro🗺, licensed guide💁🏻, 1992 AFS alum👩🏻‍🎓 and avid Space Invaders hunter👾
In case you are wondering why the @toureiffel.paris is blue, white and red tonight and tomorrow night: it is to remember and pay respect to the victims of the Paris terrorist attacks 10 years ago, on Nov. 13, 2015.
November 12, 2025 at 11:08 AM
Today the @centrepompidou.bsky.social is closing down for 5 long years of renovation. The iconic colorful building will remain exactly the same - obviously!
Modern & contemporary art lovers, no worries, many upcoming exhibitions and presentations of the collection are already scheduled. Stay tuned!

They are back - finally 🙌
The 12 apostles & 4 evangelists copper statues, saved from the fire and renovated, have been brought back up the spire of Notre-Dame. Look at the difference in color before / after!

Last one up this morning was Saint Thomas, the only one turned to look at the spire.

Happy #BastilleDay 🇫🇷!
This Monday morning, traditional military parade down Champs-Élysées Avenue.
Look up at 10:25 & 11:22 for the 100+ planes & helicopters fly-over!
La Défense & Louvre are excellent watching spots for the air parade. Tuileries garden are a must with the balloon in the picture!

Very happy that @paris.fr replaced the kilometric point in front of Notre Dame, I was missing it!
It's beautifully crafted, perfectly identical to the original (in place since 1924) which will now be archived at at @museecarnavalet.bsky.social.

Here are the best spots to see and capture an image of the cauldron this summer, when it takes off at dusk:
- Place du Carrousel (behind the arch) and Carrousel garden,
- 29-Juillet street, off Rivoli street,
- Seine river banks between Pont Neuf and Concorde bridge,
- Champs-Élysées avenue.
June 23, 2025 at 12:26 PM
The Paris2024 cauldron is back at Tuileries garden!
Free access 7/7, no reservation, 10am-9.30pm until Sept14.
The balloon will rise at dusk each night, weather conditions permitting (10.30pm now, 9.30pm in August, 8.30pm in Sept.) until 2am.
It will return in summer 2026 & 2027!

Had you heard that French artist JR was planning an installation on the Pont Neuf this year to commemorate the anniversary of Christo et Jeanne-Claude's installation in 1985?
Well it's been postponed to summer 2026 - it's still a very exciting project! Stay tuned, I'll be on the lookout for updates!

It’s a rare but fun event when the Paris Metro company (temporarily) changes the name of a few stops to celebrate an event.
This weekend, the Paris soccer club PSG’s motto ‘Ici c’est Paris´ is the new name of Porte de Saint-Cloud station (line 9), close to Parc des Princes stadium!
June 1, 2025 at 7:40 AM
So, Paris soccer club PSG just won the Champion’s League🏆.
Excited fans are already on Champs-Élysées Avenue, and will return tomorrow afternoon June1 to celebrate the team.
My advice to visitors is to stay away from the 8th arrondissement and also Porte d’Auteuil & Parc des Princes stadium!
May 31, 2025 at 10:15 PM
Heads up: Saturday May31 Paris soccer team PSG plays a final game, fans will be exuberant in Paris all weekend.
The @toureiffel.paris will wear the team’s colors 🔵🔴 from 8pm and sparkle for each goal.

I strongly advise visitors to stay clear of Champs-Élysées Saturday night AND Sunday afternoon!

In case you are wondering why the #EiffelTower turns its lights off tonight: it is to pay respect to Pope Francis.
April 21, 2025 at 4:52 PM
Heads up: there will be no reservation possible to visit Notre-Dame cathedral during Holy Week & Easter (Apr13-20). It will still be possible to visit by standing in line however I advise visitors to postpone as it is a very busy week with many religious celebrations.

The 2025 Best Baguette is at La Parisienne bakery located 12 rue Faubourg Poissonnière in the 10th arrondissement (Metro Bonne-Nouvelle).
The baker Mickaël Reydellet had already won in 2016 - and the pastry chef just won the 2025 Best Pastry award.
Definitely an address to visit in Paris!

Thinking of all the visitors who were so happy to buy top-floor tickets to the Eiffel Tower, and are now standing freezing cold in a cloud of fog.
View is great (and pics much better) on the second level anyway. And it’s cheaper too!

This just in: the @museelouvre.bsky.social will introduce new prices in January 2026 for non-European visitors, to help finance a new entrance to the museum, facing Saint-Germain-l'Auxerrois church.
Also, Mona Lisa will soon have a new room to herself, to make the visit easier for its visitors!

Please note: the restaurant inside Orsay museum is currently closed for refurbishment. Reopening on March 4.

You can spend a full day at Orsay museum!
