The Partnership in Statistics for Development in the 21st Century (PARIS21) is a unique initiative that aims to promote the better use and production of statistics throughout the Global South.
@opendatawatch.com has launched the 2024/25 ODIN—the largest global assessment of official stats. With the biggest 2-year gains to date, 162 countries improved. Africa led with a 23% rise. But gaps in social and gender data remain.

In times of economic uncertainty, #statistics aren’t just numbers. They’re a compass.

In #Kyrgyzstan, data on the cost of food led directly to #policy action. Import taxes were lifted. Crop cultivation was expanded. Exports were paused when needed. All of it informed by daily price #data.
