There haven't been any recent riots in Japan, from what I know. They do have protests, but those are hardly new. There are pro-Palestine protests, anti-immigration protests, and many others that I've seen while there.

It's a good thing, then, that their reach is only limited in the online sphere. It's hard to imagine any of them stepping foot out in the real world to do any meaningful work — protests, mutual aid, community service, none of that shit.

One thing you'll notice when dealing with most of his fans is their liberal tendencies to call everyone they don't like Zionists, even pro-Palestine leftists for not passing their arbitrary purity test.

I'm sorry, but I genuinely can't take any of these people seriously.

But unlike George Floyd, Affin's name and what happened to him on that night will not be known outside of Southeast Asia. Not because the incident was covered up or anything like that, but because of our "allies" sheer apathy.

Affin Kurniawan was a 21-year old delivery driver who got run over by a cop driving an armored vehicle right in front of a crowd of protestors. Despite not being involved in the protests, the police murdered him regardless.

Just like George Floyd, he fell victim to police brutality and died.

We're expected to care about every single injustice occuring in the US, and more often than not, being asked to use our platform to spread their message. Yet when it came time for us to ask these Western "allies" to do the same, they're unwilling to do so.

Where's the fairness in that?

So you can imagine my amusement seeing people cheering 4chan and Kiwifarms on this issue, even more so for those who have faith in them winning the case.

Perhaps these people should join us in the real world and do something more tangential than supporting a group of harassers and doxxers.

All that talk about Twitch practicing favoritism on their platform by these usual suspects really pales in comparison to Kick hosting a literal torture stream and promoting it on their socials.

But sure, Twitch is worse, because women.
