Aside from transport electrification and the'$100 million Active Transport Fund, High-Speed and Inland Rail' the 'Net Zero Plan' (www.dcceew.gov.au/climate-chan...)
does not mention much about increased investment in public transport services as a carbon abatement strategy...

All of this calls for integrated rural mobility and energy strategies, better #schooltransport, sustainable rural transport investment, and targeted support for low-income households, to break these cycles of disadvantage.

Agree that bikes and scooters have no place on footpaths, unless there is no other facilities/infrastructure for them to use, in which case what can they do, share roadspace with intimating motor vehicles?

It is a sign of things to come in the Upper Yarra Valley, and shows what can be achieved in a rural community to address transport related issues when participatory planning is encouraged.
