Code from jobs where I was laid off or let go. It’s still a very useful reference for building things at new jobs (or for fun), but every time I look at it I remember all the stress I went through to get something out the door or how miserable and mistreated I was.

I relate to this a lot. The first half of my career was filled with people being jerks to me because I was learning how to do something I wasn’t even sure I’d could do “professionally” — so nice to be over that hill and know you weren’t just wasting your time yknow

Sadly this did not happen. However, one of his backup dancers pulled out a Palestinian flag and started running around with it which was pretty rad

I think there’s just an excess of opportunity for bad management to use Jira to avoid writing good tasks but still blame workers based on arbitrary metrics. I’m fortunate at my job where that’s not an issue but I’ve definitely experienced it before.
