I've already told everyone to avoid the brand and if you really wanna buy the games, buy them second hand or pirate them. Just giving us more of a reason to support indie creators and not large brands.

Yep, it always tends to end like this, people complain they buy the product anyway because god forbid they didn't give x brand corporation money. I still do hope it does have an impact considering the official RGG account has begun blocking the hashtag, so obviously it does piss them off enough.

Deadass I feel like it's due to people straight up being ignorant, they don't want to think or analyze. It's always "It's not that deep" or "It's just a game bro, I just wanna turn off my brain and not think". This type of anti intellectualism is what causes this so people waste 80 bucks on slop.

Honestly, I'm just surprised enough people came together to fight against it. Usually things like this get swooped under the rug and people buy the game anyway cuz they don't want to deal with reality and real world problems. I'm really happy everyone has had enough and saw the company's true colors

Their goal has become to sell you stuff and expecting you to consume slop with a 80 dollar price tag + extra cash for whatever they decide to make the "Pay to win minigame" of the day. RGG has become a scummy company Kiryu would get scammed by and beat up the CEO in the end of a substory...

Ever since I've seen the microtransactions enter the games, I knew it was gonna be a slippery slope until we got to the point we are at now.

(1) Been telling people for a while that Yakuza has become a corporate franchise for a while, Kiryu isn't a character anymore, he is just a brand they slap on to sell merch and other products.
