Oh it was a big deal here in Australia - it happened before I was born, but still shapes our political discourse to some degree. Funny that even after that, we voted to stay with the monarchy in a referendum in the 90s - Aussie's don't like the boat rocked too much (we're a bloody minded lot too).

It's interesting seeing how CP acts in games, compared to younger Spurs - he's so focused & ruthless with every posession. Not sure if ruthlessness on the court can be learned, but the best players all have it in some way. Duncan had a quiet, efficient ruthlessness that I'd love to see from Wemby.

If I looked like Rudy Giuliani, I'd want drawings of me to look better too

Exactly! All billionaires are cheap arses by definition - they got nothing of value

His first sentence says it all - lack of sleep can cause delusions.

Interesting, the Rules of Kings and Queens! The Queen (via the Governor General) dismissed the duly elected Whitlam government in Australia in the 70s. Pretty sure it's still technically possible for this to happen.

Don't be so sure - some Character AI chatbots have been accused of grooming kids. I wouldn't want to leave my child alone with a chatbot.

Can't wait to be a billionaire - with all this inflation, I'm spending millions on my daily cup of coffee!

The Keldonator is awesome! That reference to his love of a particular gas station in one of your podcasts made Keldon an eternally endearing character to me.

It's been really fun and interesting to watch these recent games - you can see them slowly working things out as a team. Last year they looked a bit clueless, but now you can see what they're trying to do, even when it doesn't work out.

I loved watching that video so much, really touching to see a parent talk about their child like this. Makes me reflect on my own parenthood and how proud I am of my own kids.

Yeah Dudley was probably on more posters than any other player in the 90s - except he never had a poster of his own

A normal horse would look pygmy size for both Wemby and Jokic - seeing them race would be incredibly entertaining

If Tim Connelly can dance like these fellas, he deserves all the money in the world and then some

Hmm, I feel like Sam Altman is more the type to get all the burrito ingredients for free, get someone else to make the burrito, chew it a random number of times, spit it out onto a plate and then charge 1 billion dollars for the process.

Jokic had a great game as usual, but watching them play, it does seem like Wemby throws him off a little. He's had some pretty good games against Denver.

I vote Dan Weiner for NBA commisioner!

Haha, perfect response to Wemby's quote! Wasn't there a legend about Muhammad Ali yelling "timber!" at Wilt Chamberlain when they were planning an exhibition fight? The legend goes that Wilt pulled out of the fight not long afterwards.
